The First Presbyterian Church of Quincy provided a rich setting for the ceremony. The gowns, candles and flowers added elegance and beauty. The wedding was conducted by Reverend Eduard Moehl, Rachael's uncle. Following a clear message and a solo by Rachael's sister, Elizabeth and accompanied by Aunt Kathy Stevens, the couple recited their vows and they were pronounced Mr. and Mrs. Christopher Matson.

| After the ceremony, the guests filed
downstairs to the reception, to be joined after photos by the wedding
party. The festivities included a bit of a roasting of the happy
couple, followed by the traditional cake cutting, bouquet throwing and
garter snapping. At the appointed time, Chris and Rachael drove away
with a string of cans behind the car which had served in five previous
Sorensen weddings.
It was a beautiful wedding in all respects. Meanwhile, we would wish Chris and Rachael God's blessings and the very best as they chart their course together and enjoy the fulfillment which marriage provides.
